In order to make sure it really was you that filled in the form (or dropped a card in the box for the book draw), and not some moron who’s posing as you and just wants to cause trouble and waste time, I’ll be sending you a ‘confirmation email’.

It’ll come from verifications@aweber.com on behalf of James Hammond, and the subject line of the email will say: ‘Confirm your sign-up to Brand Doctor.’

With some very tight spam filters in place nowadays, please check your spam/junk email folder if you haven’t received the email within 24 hours, just in case it went in there instead of your inbox.

Simply click on the link in the email to confirm it was you – yes, really you – and I’ll send you yet another email where you’ll be able to download the freebies on offer.

Perhaps one day, we’ll be able to make this process a whole lot simpler.

But while there are unbalanced, loathsome idiots out there, who get kick out of filling in forms using other people’s names, I guess this is the best security option we have available.
